On the list of the Top 10 companies presented by the World Economic Forum as “the companies that are transforming the future of the Internet”, we find the fascinating start-up, Magic Leap.
Magic Leap, located in suburban Florida, is developing a new ´mixed reality´ platform, which projects images onto the retina and makes virtual 3D objects appear as part of the real world.
The Founder and CEO of Magic Leap, Rony Abovitz, holds a B.S in mechanical engineering and a M.S. in biomedical engineering, as well as being the co-founder for MAKO Surgical, the world leader in human-interactive robotics for orthopedic surgery. Many believe that the technology Abovitz is working on now – along with a handful competing virtual reality rigs, could usher in the next big change in how we use computers.
